Nico Rosberg, Lewis Hamilton, Timo Glock, Nico Hülkenberg. The list of young F1 stars to emerge from GP2 is considerable.  In 2011, the number of GP2 graduates on the F1 grid is set to increase.

The GP2 car features a 4 litre, V8 Renault engine, can reach speeds over 200mph, and accelerate to 62mph in 2.9 seconds. A six-speed sequential paddle shift gear-box, carbon brakes and new for 2011 – Pirelli tyres – help makes the transition from GP2 to F1 a more natural progression.

In 2011, the Carlin team will make its GP2 debut, having being selected as one of only 13 teams to take part in Formula One’s strong feeder series.
