Qualifying for round five abandoned in Monza
16 May 2008Qualifying for round five of the 2008 British F3 Series was abandoned this afternoon, as heavy rain forced race control to red flag the qualifying session on grounds of safety at the Monza race track in Italy.
A meeting between series organisers and F3 Team Managers decided that qualifying positions for both races should be decided in second qualifying tomorrow. Therefore, a driver's fastest lap will set the grid position for race one, while the second quickest lap will set the grid position for race two.
Qualifying will commence at 11.40 local time tomorrow (Saturday).
