Hartley on the pace in Magny Cours
18 June 2009Carlin Euro Series racer Brendon Hartley was on the pace at a mid-season test in Magny Cours today, as a two day test at the French circuit drew to a close. The Red Bull racer finished the final session quickest, which put him ninth quickest overall and as the top Volkswagen powered runner of the test.
Team mate and F3 rookie Jake Rosenzweig finished the afternoon 10th quickest, which put the youngster 23rd overall, as the quickest times were generally found in the morning session.
Speaking about the test, Hartley said, "We made some progress today, we were working on a good set up for the tyres, and a low downforce set up - and I think our times this afternoon show that we made some steps forward. It's a good boost to finish the last session on top as we head to the next round, but we'll have plenty of work to do when we arrive at the Norisring."
