Japanese racer Teppei Natori will join Carlin’s Euroformula Open Championship team it can be revealed today. The Honda-backed racer participated in the Winter Series, which took place last weekend in France, and will also take part in all season races that do not clash with his already announced FIA Formula Three Championship programme with the Carlin Buzz Racing team.
18-year-old Natori joins Carlin’s Euroformula Open team following a fantastic season racing in the Japanese Formula Four Championship; securing the Vice-Championship with three victories and 11 podiums Natori now makes the move to Carlin for his first season racing in Europe having already confirmed his plans to race within Carlin’s FIA Formula Three Championship team.
Natori said, “I’m pleased to confirm this additional championship to my 2019 season plans. I’m excited to race in the Euroformula Open Championship. We have a strong line-up and I know that we can have a good season. I look forward to working with the team further this year.”
The 2019 Euroformula Open Championship continues next week with official testing in Barcelona.
