Carlin is pleased to confirm that British racing driver Fin Green will join its newly-announced 2019 F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost team. 16-year-old Green becomes the first driver to be announced for the team and will line up on the grid for the first round of the 2019 season at Brands Hatch in April.

Ginetta race winner Green has already established himself as one to watch in the UK racing scene; taking his maiden win in June at Croft from fourth on the grid, Bristol-based Green has been accumulating solid results, gathering points throughout the season and has three podiums to his name which has led to a top ten championship position in the Ginetta Junior Championship.

Having already raced on the TOCA package during the 2018 season Green will now make the step up to the British F4 paddock for the 2019 season which will see him return to tracks he is already familiar with thanks to his Ginetta Junior experience.

Green said of the upcoming season, “I am really excited to be racing for Carlin next season in the British F4 Championship. Carlin have already proven themselves in the championship so it’s a fantastic opportunity for me to be part of their 2019 comeback. They’ve won F4 Championships in the past so everything is in place for me to have a super exciting first season in F4 – I can’t wait to be out in the car and racing!”

Racing director Trevor Carlin added, “We’re delighted to be back in the F4 British Championship and helping young, talented drivers in their first seasons in single seaters.  Fin represents this perfectly and has already shown a great deal of potential in testing.  The team are already working hard in preparation for next season and no doubt it will be a very busy winter for Fin and the rest of the team.”

The 2019 championship will once again race at a variety of British circuits including Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Donington Park and Thruxton.

-Ends-
