Carlin Buzz Racing is thrilled to confirm that Brazilian racer Felipe Drugovich will join their FIA Formula Three team for the upcoming 2019 season. Drugovich joins the team following a dominant Championship winning season in the Euroformula Open Championship in which he took an astonishing 14 victories and placed on the podium in every single race of the 2018 season. 18-year-old Drugovich now looks ahead to the inaugural FIA Formula Three Championship with the team as he becomes the second driver to be announced in the Carlin Buzz Racing programme.
2018 was a year to remember for Drugovich who enjoyed an outstanding season racing in the Euroformula Open Championship. Dominating throughout the season, the Brazilian racer took a total of 14 wins out of 16 races on offer; never once leaving the podium throughout the season. On top of this, Drugovich started from the very front of the pack on ten occasions following an impressive qualifying performance on his way to becoming champion.
Now, the 18-year-old turns his attention to the inaugural FIA Formula Three Championship with Carlin Buzz Racing as he looks to continue his race-winning ways on the Formula One support package which includes circuits he is more than familiar with such as Monza, Spa and Silverstone.
Drugovich said of the season ahead, “I am very happy to join Carlin for this new challenge for both the team and I. Carlin has welcomed me so well, and that is just an amazing start for this big journey! Carlin has always been one of the teams I really wanted to work with and now I will be part of it, so now is time to make things happen together!”
