The 19 year-old Italian makes his debut in the championship this weekend, having most recently raced in the EuroFormula Open Championship where he is already a race winner. Simonazzi has claimed several podiums in the series in both the 2023 and 2022 seasons, learning his race craft on some of Europe's best circuits. Prior to this, the Italian racer competed in the Italian F4 Championship.
Francesco Simonazzi said,

It's going to be a lot to take in on one of the longest and most challenging circuits in the sport, with changeable weather to take into account as well! But Francesco comes into the weekend with exactly the right attitude and I know he will do a great job both inside and outside the car with the team this weekend."
